Preparation of City Sanitation Plans (CSPs) for 36 Urban Local Bodies of Ballari, Raichuru and Koppal districts, Karnataka (Package 2).

The CSP for each ULB is based on primary survey of a representative sample of households and seven other important stakeholder groups. Secondary data from Urban Local Bodies (ULB) and other reports like SLIP for AMRUTH, DPR for solid waste management etc. were also used. The reports presents the situational analysis of the status with respect to sanitation toilets (individual, community, public, schools, institutions etc.) and open defecation (OD); water supply, drainage and sewerage systems, solid waste management; water bodies and flooding etc. (Due attention was given to status in slums;). The Gap assessment with respect to service level bench marks was assessed for each component. Accordingly, short term (up to 2020), medium term (2021 and 2025) and long term (2031 and 2041) plans were projected for different services and infrastructure with respect to above mentioned sectors. Also the cost estimates based on norms in vogue, were presented. A comprehensive City Sanitation Plan for each ULB in the package was the final output.
