The range of M&E services comprise need assessment/baseline surveys, process monitoring and end of project/impact evaluations. Assignments were carried out in diverse sectors such as education, health, forests, environment, agriculture, poverty alleviation, rural development, training needs assessment among others.
STEM teams provided technical and consultancy support to Comprehensive Capacity Building Programme of JnNURM, Ministry of Urban Development; Multi-village Schemes of water supply in rural areas; North Karnataka Urban Sector Investment Programme (NKUSIP); Karnataka Integrated Urban Water Management Programme (KIUWMP) and projects in both urban and rural areas; fluorosis mitigation component of Hogenakkal Water Project in Tamil Nadu; Hubli-Dharwad Bus Rapid Transit System (HBRTS) Project; Rejuvenation of Water Bodies Projects of Toyota and Titan.
Competencies in this arena are wide range starting from training needs assessment; preparation of training framework and modules; designing training programmes and organizing them. Training programmes are conducted to a variety of stakeholders including grass roots level workers in villages to senior officials in government and private sector. Diverse themes like sanitation; urban development; fluorosis mitigation; water supply; project management; programme evaluation; social and behavioural communication and others have been covered.
Support for behaviour change communication (BCC) was provided by designing materials using diverse media like print, audio-visual; conducting community level interventions like street plays; capacity building and assessing the effect of Information, Education and Communication (IEC) activities. The SBCC target groups were village level functionaries as well as engineers.
Starting environmental assessment of a district to facilitating school level interventions to create and environmental awareness and practices to rejuvenation and beautification of lakes are some of our sojourns in to CSR.
Water sector strategy papers were prepared in Indian states and also in Sudan. Other sector strategy/policy papers are for solar energy, habitat and other sectors.
Directory of Building Materials was compiled for India and Bhutan. Process documentation assignments include women empowerment, IEC interventions, housing finance.
