Three Day Capacity Building Programme for Newly Recruited Directors and Research Fellows of Karnataka Monitoring and Evaluation Authority (KMEA) - Karnataka Monitoring and Evaluation Authority, Government of Karnataka.

The Karnataka Monitoring and Evaluation Authority (KMEA) is a pioneering pivotal body established by the Government of Karnataka (GoK) to ensure effective oversight, monitoring, and evaluation of developmental projects, schemes, and programs within the state.

STEM has designed a common 3-day Capacity Building Programme (CBP) for the newly recruited Directors and Research Fellows, jointly, in consultation with KMEA. The main objectives of the Capacity Building Programme are to ensure newly recruited Directors and Research Fellows of KMEA are equipped knowledge and skills related to concepts of monitoring, evaluation; Terms of /reference for Evaluation studies; procurement rules and systems; sampling and data collection methods etc. The CBP was attended by 11 Senior Officials and Research Fellows of KMEA. It comprised interactive presentations by experienced resource persons; group work and presentations by participants. Pre and post tests were conducted to assess the impact of the CBP on knowledge and skills of the participants.

A certificate of Participation, a copy of the a) reading materials; ii) presentations and iii) a Resource Bank for future learning in a pen-drive are the principal takeaways.
