Training & Capacity Building Programs on “Change Management” for RWSS Engineers, Andhra Pradesh.

This was funded by UNICEF. Duration of the Project is FOUR months. (Feb 2007 to May 2007). The five-day workshop organised by STEM was focused on:

  • Equip participants with participatory pedagogy, principles and value premise;
  • Create awareness on the concept of group dynamics and processes;
  • Provide clarity on people-centred development models and approaches for effective implementation of water & sanitation programmes with people’s participation;
  • Explore the importance of integrating social and technical components for overall intervention with the communities;
  • Enhance engineers’ skills vis-à-vis communication, societal analysis and assessment relating to programme interventions; and
  • Focus on clear understanding of roles and functions in the context of reforms & change management and motivational aspects.

Around 100 engineers, both men and women, representing all the 22 districts, benefitted from the workshop.
